I am so very very tired of seeing these boots everywhere and them being acclaimed as these absolutely fabulous creations thought up by the creators of stiletto moody. These are literally direct duplicates of a gladiator boot in the fabulous pages of frederick’s of hollywood. Not that they didn’t do a great job of pulling it off….but to be charging such an assload for a shoe that you didnt even come close to thinking up yourself is just rediculous. When are you people going to stop promoting this garbage? Don’t believe me. Look at this.

Hi Anonymous, I am a fashionista in SL. Not a creator myself but I have tried a small scale of creating for the experience and fun, so I understand the amount of efforts and time require for creations in SL. Personally, I am not attracted in this pair of shoes so I won't be considering wearing or blogging it even it is given out as free item. But what I do like to share and comment on is our perspective of creation (which include fashion) in SL. Personally, I appreciate a good creator in SL. A good creator for me means he/she makes quality and original items given the limitation of SL creation tools. As everyone has access to the same creation tools in SL, that means a good creator here will really have to have the creativity, skills, eyes and efforts in ultilizing the same tools to make good products, in order to distinguish him/herself from the rest. Now, it is the question of originality. Copy of other creator's design within SL is definitely a question of ethic because it shows this individual just want to take an easy way out by not even making any efforts. However, I would consider translating a RL design and making it into a quality product in SL, is actually a great challenge for a creator's skills; something that we could possibly appreciate (this has nothing to do with pricing). You will see in SL, almost every creation is a translation from RL. From texture of a land, tree, animal, the sunset even to the fashion styles we put together everyday...isn't that an imitation of RL? and we appreciate them so much because we can now experience all the beautiful things in RL in SL now. Sometimes we don't even get that opportunity in RL...so I would say go easy on the creators that make the efforts to translate a RL item into a quality one in SL....after all the time and efforts they spent on creating these items vs. the lindens they made (although it might be consider as pricey in-world) is still difficult to justify their valuable time. The last thing we want is discourage the creators that have really put in their efforts to make SL a better place. Do you think it is realistic to expect only RL designers in SL, spending their time creating and selling their designs in Linden? You do the math.
